Responsibilities


The Office of the City Clerk oversees the Municipal Court, Utility Billing Department, and the Finance Department. The city clerk ’s office is responsible for keeping the journal of the proceedings of City Council, maintaining the custody and preservation of documents, records, and archives of the city.
The office also serves the public by processing public record requests, receiving complaints, and questions concerning city government and community issues, enacting city legislation, accepting public bids, issuing permits, and affixing city seal to legal documents as required by state statutes.
